eCall Days 2011

21/22 September 2011 - Berlin, Germany -

Over two days in Berlin, the focus was on the European-wide topic "automated emergency call for cars - pan-European eCall". For many years there has been an intense discussion on the European level which functions, prozesses and implementation scenarios are necessary in a harmonised system.

The decision has been made: The regulation on the introduction of eCall is presented to the European Parliament for adoption - and now what? Since the beginning of 2011 the European project HeERO (Harmonised eCall European Pilot) with nine European member states has been demonstrating which eCall functionality is already realised today. During the next three years national and international scenarios are demonstrated, the current status is presented and tests will be performed.

As the coordinator of the national HeERO team ITS Niedersachsen presented the national and international status. The conference was rounded out with an exhibition and online demonstrations of selected companies and organisations.
